Frequently Asked Questions
What Can I expect in the first session?
All of our professionals will ask you to complete a few history questionnaires prior to your first appointment. This helps us make the most of your time and investment. In our initial session, we’ll explore what brings you in and clarify your goals. From there, we’ll collaboratively develop a plan using evidence-based practices designed to help you move forward effectively and confidently.
Why does it cost so much money?
Short Answer: Insurance.
Long Answer: If you have great insurance coverage, cost is often less of a concern. However, if your coverage is limited, private practice can become a financial burden. At Ripple Health & Psychology, we understand this reality. That's why we offer a sliding scale option and work collaboratively with you to ensure treatment remains accessible and affordable based on your individual circumstances.
What is a registered professional?
A registered professional is someone who has completed extensive academic education, supervised practicums or internships, and is formally regulated by a recognized professional college or association. In most cases, the regulatory body also requires standardized examinations and assessments as minimum requirements for licensure. Only individuals who meet these rigorous education, training, and examination standards are legally permitted to use these protected professional titles.
